What people are saying about Gayla

Gayla has a way of getting right to the  core of the issue and help you  move it quite painlessly. We laughed, I danced (literally), I carried my baggage up a beachside mountain (again I mean that literallly) I let it go once and for all and I feel like I will never make myself work so hard at letting go of the limited thinking that holds me back in fear. I now know how easy it can be to have happiness and I will never do it the hard way again. Thanks Gayla!

I’ve battled with my weight since I was 14. I was diagnosed with a degenerative bone condition in my knee and had to give up elite level competitive gymnastics, tennis and netball. Unfortunately I also have a love of food. I have tried and failed with numerous weight loss strategies such as; fad diets, exercise, seeing a nutritionist, personal trainers, weight loss medication, overeaters anonymous and starvation.
About 10 weeks ago I began training with a personal trainer and was noticing an improvement in my fitness however I was working really hard but not losing any weight on the scales. I was struggling with cutting back on my food intake and although I really desperately wanted to lose the weight I felt like I just couldn’t. I then approached Gayla and after completing my first session I have had amazing results.
I uncovered reasons for my weight gain and challenged the limitations and doubt I had regarding losing the weight. Since my sessions with Gayla I have felt empowered and determined to stick to my goal and consequently the weight is starting to fall off.
I am feeling powerful, strong-minded and excited about my challenge which is remarkable because in the past I’ve felt depressed, disempowered and useless. I have created a healthy lifestyle with a combination of healthy food, effective exercise and a healthy mind. I’m loving my life at the moment and its only going to get better – without Gayla none of this would have been possible.

Gayla facilitated a wonderful, challenging yet refreshing 2-day seminar, which was the beginning of a new direction for me. The book ‘Permission to Dance’ followed where my weekend workshops left off and was a real challenge at times as it required me to dig deep and lay the truth out there for me to see - in plain sight.

I have completed the book and its exercises and have taken the last step to “freedom” from the demands that I, and others, had placed on me.  I have thrown the mask away and allow myself to be just as I was intended – ME.  This journey has unleashed a powerful attraction to success both personally and in my business. Thanks Gayla.

Just wanted to share with you my experience of doing your emotional fitness retreat recently.

Do you know what you did for me?  You unleashed my sense of fun!  I’m often a fairly serious person, but you made me realize that life doesn’t need to be so somber.  It’s nice to see the world again from a childlike sense of fun and play!

You also made me realize how sad I’d be if I never accomplished those things that I spend so much time talking about.

Lastly, I’ll never forget the two of us skipping along the beach, running into our lycra-clad friend!!

Gayla’s book, Permission to Dance, is full of thoughtful and practical steps on dancing through life with love and passion. It has been a breakfast reading book through a time when I needed some words of wisdom. It allowed me to stop and appreciate my life and change some destructive patterns I have. It will always be a book I pull off the shelf to inspire.

Spending time with Gayla was a life changing experience for me. Over the years I haven’t had much success with mediation and relaxation but Gayla made relaxation what it should be, easy and relaxing.  She is a wonderful teacher and  a very warm, refreshing communicator.

I enjoyed learning through real life experience and during my work with Gayla we did many activities, my favourite being the throwing of my 'emotional baggage off the mountain" It was such an emotional experience so worthwhile.

There were 2 other major things that happened from that weekend program run by Gayla. I was a diet coke addict. I was drinking over 2 Litres a day of the stuff so I was addicted to the caffeine. Because over the last 3 years I have changed my life around healthwise, drinking all those chemicals weren't in keeping with my core values. Since leaving the mountain I have been able to give up the diet coke, diet drinks and caffeine completely.

And finally, I had a huge ganglion on my hand at the end of my thumb. The doctor had said it needed to be surgically removed. That thought didn’t appeal to me. I had been talking about it with Gayla and each time we did mediation over the weekend, my concentration was on the ganglion leaving my body. By the time I went home Sunday night it had nearly disappeared. Within another week it had completely gone.

Thank you Gayla for helping me so much, I am truly grateful!

It was a delight to listen and to participate in your presentation at EFW today in Brisbane.

So much of what you said resonated with me at a very deep level.  I really enjoyed your talk. Thank you.
